Brian Harry has a blog post up about a potentially serious issue when upgrading from TFS 2005/2008 to TFS 2010.

If you have already performed an upgrade, or are about to perform an upgrade, you should go check it out.

I had a great time speaking at the Memphis .NET User Group last night.  There was a great crowd, and my presentation on Team Foundation Server 2010 was well received, with some really great questions throughout.  It was also good to see some friends and faces that I hadn’t seen in a long time.

I want to thank the Memphis .NET User Group board for inviting me to speak.  I’ll be glad to come back anytime.  My first public speaking engagement was this user group, which helped launch my speaking career, so they will always hold a special place.

With Visual Studio 2010 and Team Foundation Server 2010, Microsoft has made a significant investment in trying to support teams that want to be more “agile”.  The MSF Agile 5.0 template that ships with Team Foundation Server 2010 was revamped to make it more “SCRUM-like”, and with the support of all the Excel Agile workbooks that come with it, make it a great process for teams who want to try and follow an agile process similar to SCRUM.

For those of you though who want to follow the SCRUM process, but may not know exactly what that means, or the best way to go about doing that with Team Foundation Server 2010, there is a program you should know about.  It is the Microsoft Professional Scrum Developer Program.  This is a world-wide training program that will teach you how to use TFS 2010, SCRUM, and other modern software engineering practices in your development shop.

You have to be certified to teach this course, and the list of trainers on the site is pretty impressive.  It really is a high-quality cast of characters.

So if you are interested in learning more about how SCRUM and Team Foundation Server 2010 and co-exist, and how SCRUM could be implemented in your organization, you should definitely check out the Microsoft Professional Scrum Developer Program.
