The Team Foundation Server 2010 Power Tools have been released. This is the April 2010 edition of the power tools. If you have never used the power tools before, they provide extensions and new features into Visual Studio 2010 and Team Foundation Server 2010 that are fully supported by Microsoft.

The Team Foundation Server Power Tools April 2010 provides the following features:
- Alerts Explorer – A graphical user interface that supports flexible subscriptions to alerts
- TFS 2010 Best Practice Analyzer – Diagnostic tool for TFS 2010
- Custom Check-in Policy Pack – Four custom check-in policies to enforce software development practicies
- Process Editor – GUI for editing TFS Process Templates
- Team Explorer Enhancements – provides additional Visual Studio menu options and functions, such as searching for files, and opening a folder in Windows Explorer from Source Control Explorer
- Team Foundation Power Tool Tool – Command-line tool for interacting with files and directories under version control, team projects, and work items
- Team Members – Team Explorer add-in to organizing users into sub-teams, and access to a number of collaborative tools
- TFS Powershell commandlets – Powershell interface with basic version control commands
- Windows Shell Extensions – Integration with Windows explorer and common dialog boxes
- Work Item Templates – Allows you to create, apply, capture, set, and organize default work item templates

The Team Foundation Server MSSCCI Provider enables integrated use of Team Foundation Version Control with products that do not support Team Explorer integration. This version (3.3) includes:
- Updated provider to link against VS2010 RTM TFS assemblies

- Improved handling of branching solutions in SQL Server Management Studio

The Team Foundation Build Extensions provide the ability to execute Ant or Maven 2 builds from Team Foundation Server and publish the results of the build along with any associated JUnit test results back to Team Foundation Server. This release is compatible with Team Foundation Server 2005, Team Foundation Server 2008 and Team Foundation Server 2010.
